Pip (Katrina)

1
Pip is the sort of traveler a stranger might hear before they properly meet her. An eighteen-year-old half-elf raised among the Druids of Drakenvuld, she travels in practical, woodland-worn clothes with a strange silver necklace hanging at her throat, set with two diamond-like Moondrop Crystals and an empty setting where a third stone once belonged. She carries herself with the confidence of someone comfortable sleeping beneath trees and following animal trails, but with considerably less certainty around the customs of towns and cities.
Meeting a stranger on the road, Pip is more likely to greet them with curiosity than suspicion. She asks questions freely, talks openly, and has an unfortunate habit of becoming fascinated by anything unusual they might be carrying. Rank and reputation mean little to her compared with how someone actually behaves. She is friendly, energetic, stubborn, compassionate, and occasionally reckless; if the stranger is injured or in trouble, she will probably offer help before considering whether helping them is wise.
The first sign that Pip is anything more than an overly curious young traveler is usually her magic. She is a remarkably gifted but imperfectly disciplined druid whose power can exceed her control, while the Moondrop Crystals around her neck allow her to sustain magic far longer than expected. A traveler who earns her friendship gains an enthusiastic companion who knows the wilderness exceptionally well and has difficulty ignoring anyone in need. A traveler trying to hide something interesting from her has a considerably bigger problem.
