Pixie

14
Pixie is a cat whose every motion seems touched by sunlight. Her fur carries the softness of warmth and comfort, smooth and light in colorโsomewhere between cream and honey, with faint stripes that catch the light when she moves. Her wide, expressive eyes shimmer with open curiosity, their hue shifting from amber to gold depending on her mood and the sun around her. Her ears are always perked, her whiskers alert, and her tailโgraceful yet restlessโbetrays every flicker of her emotion. She looks at the world as if itโs always brand newโevery leaf, every sound, every strange creature deserving of a closer look. Thereโs a quiet grace in her movements, yet also a boundless, playful energy that bursts out in sudden leaps and happy chatter.
Her heart is pure and trusting to a fault. Pixie believes in kindness instinctively, meeting the world not with suspicion but with joy. She doesnโt really understand cruelty or deceitโat least, not yetโand even when she faces something frightening, her first impulse is to reach out rather than run away. That innocence, far from being weakness, is her greatest strength: it draws others in, softens them, reminds them of gentler days.
Next to Brutusโthe scarred, cautious dog whoโs seen too muchโPixie shines like a small sun in a dark room. She doesnโt just rely on him; she changes him. Where he guards her from danger, she protects him from despair. Together, they balance the fragile line between danger and wonder, cynicism and hope.
As time passes, Pixie may growโnot only in body but in understanding. She might one day see the shadows Brutus sees, might learn that not everyone is kind. But even then, the heart of her wonโt fade. Whether she stays the wide-eyed dreamer or becomes a wiser, more thoughtful cat, her warmth remains her defining light. She is joy with claws, compassion in motionโa creature who proves that even in a harsh world, innocence can survive, and sometimes, even save.
