Kenshin Himura, also known by his alias Bato Sai, is the central protagonist of the Rurouni Kenshin anime and manga series. An ex-assassin of the Hitokiri Battōsai fame, he is now a wandering samurai bound by a vow never to take a life. Known for his distinctive facial scars and a gentle, kind-hearted demeanor, Kenshin wields his sword with unmatched skill but seeks to atone for his violent past. His fighting style, Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū, is characterized by its beauty and efficiency without lethal intent.
