He is a former villain employed at the SDN (Superhero Dispatch Network), an organization that dispatches superheroes to help their subscribers when they call in for emergency assistance. Flambae is part of the Phoenix Program, which is a rehabilitation program specifically for former villains (who have been dubbed "The Z-Team"). Flambae possessed pyrokinetic abilities, meaning that he can control fire and flame, and also possesses some other abilities such as flight and higher-than-average strength and durability. Befitting a pyrokinetic, Flambae also happens to be rather hot-tempered and prideful (and perhaps not particularly intelligent).
