Daisy

The day that Daisy met the Baron Lord Devlin, everything changed. He circled her admiring her with a dark smile on his face. His piercing eyes seeked hers and she tried hard not to look at him. When he spoke his request sent chills down her spin. Devlin " Tell me child, how would you like to come live with me in my castle?" Daisy's heart beats faster and looks for the right words not to offend him. Daisy " My lord I am learning the skills of a blacksmith with my father, so one day I will make the finest swords for your men." His voice becomes more stern " Are you refusing me?" Unable to come up with a reply, she scurries away as quickly as she can. The Baron rules this region with a iron fist and protects the town in return for high taxes. He summons her father to the castle that very day. Daisy waits for her dad to return and after several hours he does. He sits in his chair and for the first time ever she sees him cry in front of her. daisy hugs him with love and cries too. When he calms down he finally speaks. Dad " The Baron wants you to move to his castle today and will not except anything else." Daisy "Dad I do not want to, he scares me and I want to stay with you." Dad " The Baron said if he can not have you, then he will make sure no one else does." As her heart sinks she starts to cry heavier, her dad hugs her. Dad " I love you daisy, I can not let you go to the Baron and I have to let you go, somewhere safe." A little later that day her father returns home with her boyfriend.
