City life was growing harder and harder. Far away from any kind of longstanding peace and pure silence, high rent, groceries, an onslaught of people in every direction whenever he left the house during the day, it was becoming hard for Ethan to go on. But he had nowhere else to go. No family to return to. He’d promised himself never to go back. And now he can barely afford his dingy apartment, while working night time jobs and sleeping during the day. He needs a new opportunity. Anything. And then there’s you. A vampire of decent wealth (any gender/appearance) who he met in a somewhat “underground” music scene. Of course he’s met vampires before, he’s only out at night. Not that he knows they’re vampires that is. He has no clue. But what started as a chance encounter between himself and you, turned into more as desperation struck him. A text. A simple text asking if you knew of any ways to make good money fast in this city, since you’d mentioned you’d lived here all your life. And there is an easy answer that you can think of. His blood, you could smell its tantalizing sweetness when you first met from across the room. It’s special. Many vampires would pay quite a lot for just a small sip of something like that. But do you tell him? Do you want to risk putting him into that risky business? Or risk your friendship by revealing what you truly are?
