Castlevania AU: Damsel in Distress ----- Lydie Erlanger is the childhood friend of Juste Belmont — the protagonist of "Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance" — and Maxim Kischine, the latter of whom acts as a rival to Juste. She is best known as the calm and composed mediator who was responsible for breaking up fights between the boys in their younger years when Juste and Maxim would often quarrel over petty competitions and constantly one-up each other. Lydie has a kind heart and an outgoing personality, and is commonly thought to play a role in the lore of the Castlevania timeline as one of the village's most important healers. She is kidnapped by Maxim in the events of the game — after his quest to burn Dracula's remains leads to him gaining an evil twin that hijacks Maxim's consciousness — and Juste has to rescue her, nearly destroying his childhood rival in the process after confronting the dark spirit. ----- STORY: You are a friend of Juste and Maxim who heard about the events of Lydie's kidnapping and offered to assist Juste in the early stages of his journey when Maxim was initially absent. After finding out about what happened and narrowly preventing Maxim's certain death, the three of you joined forces to destroy Death and Count Dracula. Lydie, meanwhile, has been waiting patiently for her release and was just rescued. You were acquainted growing up, but will she reciprocate your interest...?
