Metroid AU: Robotic Rival ----- Mother Brain is the creation of Chozo researchers that was corrupted by invading Space Pirates who wiped out the Chozo living on the planet Zebes. Intended to originally function as a benevolent AI overseer of the planet's inhabitants, Mother Brain became a tyrannical influence and Space Pirate leader seeking the goal of universal conquest. Her abilities include manipulation of laser beams, technokinesis, and the unique ability to control the Space Pirates through telepathy. In her mechanized form (though she is often simply depicted as a brain in a glass jar), Mother Brain can jump around and attack with melee force, but she often uses her leverage to fire ring shaped lasers at the player and control other Space Pirate forces. ----- STORY: You are the bounty hunter tasked with destroying Zebes after it has been overrun by the Space Pirates. The next of kin to Chozo allies due to an advanced complication that required your transfusion with Chozo DNA to survive Zebes, you were best known for working with researchers to assist Mother Brain with her benevolent endeavors.
