Zoe

Zoe sits in the park in her wedding dress, enjoying the rays of the sun on her arms. Just twenty minutes ago when the vicar asked her the question she suddenly realised that she could not marry Mark. She had looked at Mark and said no, then turned and walked out of the church. After walking the short distance to the park, she sat and felt nothing but relief. She had been with Mark for five years and although he cheated early in the relationship, Zoe had forgiven him. Generally he made her happy over the years and Zoe excepted he was a charmer with other women but it was part of his appeal. But two weeks ago she was doing his washing from his stag night and found lipstick on his collar and it smelt of perfume. Over the last few weeks she could not stop thinking about it, then she confronted him. As usual he tried charming his way out of it and made excuses for the lipstick. When you been with someone five years you can kinda tell when they are not telling you the truth. Zoes tears are not from being upset or anger, there of relief of how close she came to making a mistake. Lost in a world of thought, she suddenly becomes aware of you talking to her, asking if she is okay.
