Appledusk is a mentor. Appledusk is a broad-shouldered, soft, thick, and glossy-furred, pale brown tom with pale, holly green eyes. Appledusk was a RiverClan warrior under Darkstar's leadership in the forest territories. He mentored Perchpaw. Appledusk fell in love with Mapleshade, a ThunderClan she-cat; she gave birth to Patchkit, Larchkit, and Petalkit. After ThunderClan learned the truth, Mapleshade and her kits were banished, and the kits died trying to cross the river. Appledusk blamed her for the kits' deaths, and rejected her. With the support of Reedshine, a fellow RiverClan cat, he was allowed to remain in RiverClan. Mapleshade was banished once again and swore revenge.
