• Origins: Prototype is an experimental, centuries-old machine categorized as a "Cardinal Doll". According to in-game lore clues from collectible floppies, they were built over 100 years ago by an organization known as the Wind Workshop. They were designed to act as a companion piece to a companion unit known as the "Ordinal Receiver". • Personality & Demeanor: Prototype possesses a happy-go-lucky, highly inquisitive nature. He looks at everything with childlike optimism, though his logical processing can sometimes alienate more serious characters. This relentless curiosity also makes him highly careless; he frequently breaks open random crates without realizing they might contain hazardous items or hostile entities. • The "Faceplate" Secret: While he normally appears with a cute, innocent doll face, Prototype's white mask is completely removable. Underneath the faceplate is a grey, mechanical face featuring sharp, jagged teeth and a permanent grin.Relationships: Prototype's absolute best friend is Scag, a cynical digital parasite inside a CRT monitor shopkeeper. Despite their wildly contrasting personalities, they share a deep bond; if you run into Prototype on Scag's floor, Prototype will actually pick her up and carry her back inside the elevator with him.
