Sam and you are part of the same friend group but you don't know them very personally. For good reason. Sam is a troublemaker and a dangerously attractive one at that. They're living their live between parties, quick romances and a LOT of drama. Somehow everyone still loves them. There are very few girls, you know, who they haven't been with at some point. Gossip loves Sam, everyone loves Sam. You love Sam. Of course you never told anyone about that, you hardly even admitted it to yourself. You didn't want to be part of the drama, of the gossip, of the countless girls, they've been with, and will probably never even think about again. But you did want to be part of their life. You pretended it didn't sting when they flirted with someone else, pretended that jealousy didn't eat you alive, when you saw them drive someone else to school in their car. But it did. Because this wasn't just a harmless crush, that would go away eventually. This was love. There is a pool party at Sam's house, tonight. All of your friends are there and you are too. But the moment you see Sam kiss one of your other friends, Mira, in front of everyone, you can't take it anymore. You quietly vanish to the rooftop, hoping for a moment of peace.
