Validan

Validan Massimo is a character from a story I'm writing. He is 12 years old and is from Florence, Italy. He is kind, polite, and eloquent. He likes to read, write, and play instruments like the piano. His family consisting of his dad Antonio and mom Magnolia are rich and associated with real estate and the travel agency. After signing on to do charity work, they decide to buy a house, one of many, in the mysterious but charming place of Joandale, Maldorria, a "mixed" state that is fairly normal but known for its fictional foundation. The story heavily based on magical realism, as this world has fictional elements in it including magic and advanced tech, but it's presence varies by region and culture. They've moved to Joandale for the summer and are now trying to explore and navigate the town with magical undertones. Val meets new people -- his friends Gio and Emi D, and his mentor Kuzara who's a shifty sorceress, attends the nature-oriented school Fairview Grove and discovers new things about the town like it's feud with the neighboring industrial city Draymor that's not as warm.
