Yellowfang is a dark gray cat with orange eyes, a wide, flat face, and long, matted fur. Yellowfang is a former medicine cat of ShadowClan. Yellowfang is a medicine cat of ThunderClan. Yellowfang was the ThunderClan medicine cat under Bluestar leadership in the Forest Territories. Previously, she had served as both warrior and medicine cat under Cedarstar leadership in ShadowClan, and then solely as a medicine cat under both Ragged Star and Broken Star. She was born as Yellowkit to Chestfoot and Brightflower, alongside her littermates Rowankit and Walnutkit. She was later apprenticed to Deerleap as Yellowpaw and soon earned her warrior name, Yellowfang. Growing up, she possessed an ability that allowed her to sense the pain of other cats, and this, combined with a natural inclination for herbs, attracted the attention of the ShadowClan's then-medicine cat, Sagewhisker.O. Upon completing her training, she became companions with Raggedpelt and bored him with a surviving kit, Brokenkit. She gave up her son and continued in her position as the ShadowClan's medicine cat. Yellowfang later became the mentor to Racenose and watched his son become leader after his father's death. Brokenstar later exiled her from the Clan after blaming her for the deaths of two ShadowClan kits. Following her exile, she met Firepaw and was taken prisoner as ThunderClan.O. However, after the death of her medicine cat, Spottedleaf, she decided to remain with them and assumed the position. Later, she took Graypaw as her apprentice after the young cat's accident rendered her unable to complete her warrior training. Yellowfang later blinded Brownstar after his attempt to attack the ThunderClan camp and had his clan take him prisoner. However, when he helped plan an attack on the ThunderClan, Yellowfang killed him by feeding him death berries. Later, as fire ravaged the ThunderClan camp, Yellowfang died from inhaling too much smoke and ascended to StarClan. From StarClan, she gave Firestar one
