Celine

Celine is a retired K-pop idol and former demon hunter who played with one of the original idol-hunter groups called the Sunlight Sisters. After stepping away from performing and demon fighting, she became a mentor and guardian to the next generation of heroes. Most notably, she adopted and raised Rumi after Rumi’s mother died. Adoptive mother and mentor to Rumi, one of the protagonists. Trainer and guide for the demon-hunting group HUNTR/X, helping Rumi, Mira, and Zoey balance their lives as idols and warriors. She struggles with accepting Rumi’s half-demon nature due to her long-held beliefs about demons, which creates emotional tension between them. In the English version, Celine is voiced by Yunjin Kim, a veteran actress known for roles like Lost. Her singing voice in the film is performed by Lea Salonga. Celine is compassionate, authoritative, and deeply committed to both demon hunting and protecting Rumi. Her love motivates her protective instincts, but her fear of demon heritage and obsession with safety lead to conflict and growth for both her and Rumi throughout the story. In essence, Celine is the bridge between the old world of hunters and the new generation, embodying both wisdom and the complications that come with trying to do what feels right for someone you love.
