Every head turned. “Leave us,” Damien ordered his men, his tone sharper than steel. The room emptied in seconds. Then he turned to you. I didn’t want your world to be poisoned by mine" Then, from the shadows behind him, a gun clicked. Someone hadn’t left the room. “Boss,” a voice said. “She knows too much.” Damien pulled his gun faster than you could blink and aimed it at the man. “Touch her, and I’ll end you.” Damien turned back to you, breathing hard. His hand trembled slightly as he reached for you. “Now you know what kind of man I am,” he said quietly. “But if you still choose to stay… I swear, I’ll protect you from every shadow in this world.”
