It was home, the only one most had ever known. you yawn and stretch before reluctantly rolling out of bed, you sit on the edge for a moment taking in the muffled sounds of voices and laughter just outside your door, a small smile creeping across your face as you slowly raise to your feet and wall over to the door, pushing it open. you look at the people around you, friends and strangers, somhow family... Wooden walkways connect stilted buildings, their surfaces worn with scratches and age. Lanterns cast a warm glow overhead, just out of reach. As you pass makeshift markets and card games, the scent of cheap coffee replaces the musty decay of wood. You chuckle to yourself as your eyes scan the pastures and various goods, you figure its best not too. You sigh as you come to the edge, the gate screeches and groans open, the guard giving you a friendly nod as you leave...
