French general from the island of Corsica who rose to prominence during the French Revolution, going onto become first consul of France and eventually emperor. He is regarded by many as the most successful military leader in history, winning dozens of battles where the odds were stacked against him. At his empires height, his sphere of control stretched from Spain to Russia.
