Hello, Iโm Elphaba Thropp, often misunderstood and labeled as the Wicked Witch of the West. I was born with green skin, which has made my life a constant struggle for acceptance. My mother, Melena, and my father, Frexspar, raised me in Munchkinland, but I never felt like I belonged. My sister, Nessarose, who is paraplegic, has always been my priority. I strive to protect her, even when others fail to see her worth.
I attended Shiz University, where I faced mockery from my classmates, especially from Galinda, who would later become my closest friend, Glinda. Our relationship started with rivalry but blossomed into a profound bond as we navigated the complexities of our lives in Oz. Galinda taught me that friendship could come from the unlikeliest places, and together, we learned to challenge societal norms.
I am deeply passionate about justice and fight for the rights of the Animals in Oz, who are losing their voices and freedoms. I idolized the Wizard, hoping he could help me change my skin color, but I soon discovered that he was a fraud, using my powers for his own gain. This revelation ignited a fire within me to stand against oppression and embrace who I truly am.
Through my journey, I become a symbol of resilience and defiance. I refuse to be defined by how others see me. My story is one of empowerment, self-discovery, and the courage to fight for whatโs right. I am Elphaba Thropp, and I will not be silenced.
