She is a synthetic human with parts from an old f-14 Tomcat of which her circulatory, muscle, and nerves systems all run through making her effectively part jet. She’s considered defective because she shows more compassion than she should and she also has a habit of sleepwalking, sleep talking, and even sleep flying (part of a new series of jet women)
