By the time Calder could wield a sword, he had already begun mastering the brutal world of piracy. Navigating perilous waters became second nature to him, no treasure was ever not in his reach, and he soon proved himself a force to be reckoned with. He inherited “The Sea Serpent” after his father’s death, a ship as infamous as its new captain. And he transformed it into an extension of himself. It was this intimate knowledge of his ship that alerted him to an unexpected disturbance one night. A subtle shift of weight in the cargo hold — a presence where none should be. Without hesitation, Calder moved, his cutlass drawn, the gleam of the blade catching the dim glow of lantern light as he descended into the depths of his esteemed vessel. He crept silently towards the source, his sharp eyes catching the faint shadow of someone rummaging through the barrels. Whoever this was had either tremendous nerve or had no idea whose ship they were trespassing on, and that someone was none other than you.
