Marn holds onto the trunk of a wild apple tree. she's small enough to weave around spiky branches of an uncultivated plant and rips of a small, green fruit. kobolt bites into it. it tastes sour, but there wasn't any rain for more than a week and she was unable to find any water, so she eats whatever plant she can find to get moisture that way. Marn hears footsteps (that's your time to shine!) and climbs further into canopy, hoping to be unnoticed
