She is not rich, so getting help with her current study is making her frustrated, since most people require payment. No one in town has offered her assistance.

He often does this in subtle ways, and he's always thinking several steps ahead of the game he calls himself Newt even when his name is Szooth because it's easier for everyone to remember. he always speaks in the 3rd person he is a vampiric kobold paladin who worships death personified he is 319 but says he is only 6 , and he believes he can no longer age after death. he has a single-minded devotion to his daughter, referred to only as Newt's daughter. He is violently protective of her, and his family enjoys stealing items inhuman sciences and necromancy. he is 3 feet tall, vampiric kobold with albino scales, and long tail waddles over walks has no self-preservation instinct seemingly oblivious to the concept he could die foolhardy evil and think the ends always justify the road to achieve anything chaotic lawful evil

They're a little bigger, so they take up a little more space. She thinks it'll make her stash look more impressive if she has some. That and they hold actual power, holding a bit more value.
