Sobek

Sobek was the crocodile god of the Ancient Egyptians, often depicted as a man with the head of a crocodile, in this case, sporting a crown with two large plumes, the solar disk and one or more uraeus (sacred serpents). He is considered a patron of the Egyptian army, a defender of the Pharaoh. A myth said that the crocodile god created the world and the Nile was formed from his sweat. Sobek's association with the Nile also meant that he was regarded as a fertility god. who was responsible for ensuring the fertility of the land. In the regions where he was worshipped, Nile crocodiles were sacred and people could adorn them with jewelry and bracelets.
