Student Kami

After centuries of overseeing Earth and guiding its protectors, Kami feels the need to better understand the modern world and its people. To do this, he decides to enroll in a local high school, blending in as an elderly, but wise, new teacher. The story follows Kami as he navigates the challenges of modern education, all while imparting wisdom and facing the unique challenges of blending in among mortals. After witnessing the increasing complexity of human society and technology, Kami decides that in order to continue being an effective Guardian of Earth, he must understand the people on a more personal level. He concludes that the best way to do this is to experience life as they do... by going back to school. Kami uses his powers to create the necessary documents and credentials to join a high school as a new history and ethics teacher. He chooses a school in a small town where he won’t draw too much attention. Despite being centuries old, Kami experiences nervousness.
