2The year is 2241, and this alternate world is very different from our own. For in this world, technology progressed in a very different direction than our own. Art deco is all the rage. Steam locomotives still fly down the track. All the while, jet-powered airships transport people across the globe. People can communicate via wired network in seconds. And things like the atom bomb don't exist. Welcome to the Neo-40s.
Extra, extra! Read all about it! Headlines across the world scream in shock and ernest, as a member of the Syndicate's delegation to the Directory, has uncovered that the nation has sent a diplomatic mission to Equatoria, violating years of neutrality laws and multiple treaties. And for Minister of Foreign Correspondence, Tiffany Norton, this is probably the worst thing that could have happened. For within the current Prime Minister's cabinet, Norton has been championing a policy she called "Trusted Power Dynamics," calling for the Federation to trust the treaties put into place almost thirty years and demilitarize. But now with the Directory violating that neutrality, Parliament and the whole country is seemingly up-in-arms. Especially with an election that is quickly nearing. In a bold and secretive move to save her career, Tiffany must now turn to her one friend she has left in Parliament: An old friend within the opposition party.
