To make matters worse, the Insurgents released the zombie virus, Havoc. Fortunately, Alex was in New York when it began, which was unaffected by Havoc. Unfortunately, New York was plagued with a powerful strain of rabies. This was all happening while Alex was just a kid (7 years old, to be exact). Luckily, he and his family were able to escape New York... but he was kidnapped by Insurgent soldiers, and brought to Victor Hamrill, a dangerous and insane leader of the war. A mad scientist.
